Difference Sweet from Orrefors holds 7.5 oz and is ideal for dessert wines. With its short bowl, it immediately captures the aromas of late-harvest grapes in sweet wines. A suitable wine for this glass is the classic Sauternes, which is made from nobly rotted grapes; the juice is often fermented in a small oak barrel, bringing additional character to the wine. Other great wines are Eiswein and Tokaj, as well as younger port wines. Difference Sweet is mouth-blown in Sweden by expert glassblowers and designed by Erika Lagerbielke, one of Sweden’s foremost stemware designers.
The Designer: Erika Lagerbielke
Erika Lagerbielke (born in 1960) studied industrial design at one of Sweden's most prestigious art and design universities. Today, she is a professor in design at Linnaeus University in Växjö, Sweden, where she works with education and research in areas including the artifacts and culture of the meal, dining environments as generators of value, and the sustainable development of glass. Lagerbielke began her collaboration with Orrefors in 1982, during her studies, and had her major breakthrough with the Intermezzo collection already in 1984. Her most acclaimed special projects include the wedding gift to Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel Westling from the Swedish Parliament and government in 2010, Linnaeus University’s vice-chancellor chain in 2010, and a special set for the Michelin restaurant Operakällaren in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2020. Lagerbielke has received the Excellent Swedish Design award three times, for Orrefors Intermezzo in 1985, Orrefors Merlot in 1995, and Orrefors Difference in 2002 (special prize). For her Orrefors collections, she has also won a Formex Formidable award in Sweden, International Tabletop Award in Dallas, and the Deco Home Award – Produkte des Jahres in Germany. In addition, she has won the Prince Eugen Medal from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden for outstanding artistic achievement (2010), as well as the City of Stockholm St. Erik’s Medal (2014). Lagerbielke’s collections Intermezzo, Difference, Metropol, Beer, Merlot, Enjoy and More are currently in the Orrefors assortment.

How will I know when my order has shipped?
- After you order, the item gets packed and prepped. Once it’s out the door, you’ll get a tracking number to see where your item is in transit.
How will it get to me?
- Smaller items will come like any FedEx/UPS delivery that comes to your home or business.
- Larger items will go on freight truck. Certain carriers may call you to schedule a good date/time for you to receive the items, we will alert you if this will take place with your specific order.
- Items will be delivered to your porch, garage, or first dry area, but not inside the building.
- To bring the best possible service and make sure items are delivered without damages or blemishes, we have delivery partners that do nothing but deliver larger items.
- Many small parcel items will take the standard delivery time of 3-7 business days, depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse.
How do I cancel?
- As long as it’s not on the truck and ready to go, you can cancel it without any fees!
- Once it’s on the truck it’ll be considered a return.
How do I return an item?
- Just contact us via email at orders@homebarvino.com with your order number and reason for returning then we will get the process started.
- While shipping is free, the costs associated with getting it to your location will be deducted
